প্রমাণ

 এক ছিল বিখ্যাত ক্রীড়াবিদ্‌। কসরৎ দেখানোই তার নেশা ও পেশা ছিল । কিন্তু তা হলে কি হবে। তার বন্ধুরা তাকে ঠাট্টা করে বলতো- ল্যাক প্যাক সিং । শুনে শুনে সে বিরক্ত হয়ে গেল৷ সে মনের দুঃখে চলে গেল বিদেশে । এবং এক সময় বিদেশ থেকে ফিরেও এল । ফিরে এসে সে গর্ব করে বলতে লাগল-কতো দেশ-বিদেশে আমি খেলা দেখিয়ে এলাম । কতো রকমের লাফ ঝাঁপ আমাকে দিতে হয়েছে। তেমনি লাফ পৃথিবীতে কেউই দিতে পারবে না। যারা সে সময় সেখানে হাজির ছিল তাদের কেউ যদি আজ এখানে উপস্থিত থাকতো তাহ'লে তারাই আমার কৃতিত্তের সাক্ষী দিতো!

এইসব শুনে পাশ থেকে একজন ঠোটকাটা লোক ফস্‌ করে বলে বসল-_ বাইরের সাক্ষীর প্রয়োজন কী? তুমি যা বলছ তা যদি সত্যি হয় তাহলে এখানেই একবার লাফ দিয়ে দেখাও না!

উপদেশ - কোন কিছু মুখে বলার চেয়ে কাজ দেখিয়ে প্রমাণ করতে হয় ।
