এক মনে কাজ করতে হয়

একদা এক মাঠে একদল ভেড়া চরে বেড়াচ্ছিল। ভেড়ার পাল বিকেল হতেই বাড়ি ফেরার জন্যে এগিয়ে চলছিল । বেড়ার পাল অনেকটা এগিয়ে গেল কিন্তু একটা ভেড়ার ছানা পেছনে পড়ে গেল। একটা নেকড়ে বাঘ এই অবস্থায় ভেড়ার ছানাটিকে দেখতে পেয়ে নিঃশব্দে তার পিছু নিল। বাচ্চা ভেড়াটা নেকড়েটাকে দেখতে পেল । সে বলল-বুঝেছি তুমি আমাকে ধরে খেতে চাও, এই তোঃ কিন্তু একটা শর্ত আছে আমার । মরবার আগে আমি বাশির সুরের সঙ্গে নাচতে চাই । তাই আমার অনুরোধ, তুমি বাশি বাজাও আমি তালে তালে নাচি। তারপর-
নেকড়ে ভেড়ার ছানার এই কথা শুনে বাঁশি বাজাতে লাগল আর তার সঙ্গে চললো বাচ্চা ভেড়াটার নাচ।
আর সেই বাজনা আর নাচের আওয়াজ শুনে সেখানে একদল কুকুর এসে জুটল। নেকড়েকে দেখেই তারা তার দিকে ধাওয়া করল। নেকড়ে ছুটতে ছুটতে কোনোমতে কুকুরদের হাত থেকে বাচল। তারপর অনেক দূরে যখন কুকুরদের নাগালের বাইরে চলে এল তখন এক জায়গায় বসে বিশ্রাম করতে করতে ভাবতে লাগল, খুব শিক্ষা হল আমার, কেমন বুদ্ধর মত আমি শিকার করতে এসে বাশি বাজাতে গেছিলাম ।
উপদেশ - একমনে কাজ না করলে কাজ পন্ড হয় । বিপদও হতে পারে ।
Once upon a time, a group of sheep were grazing in a field. The flock of sheep was moving forward to return home in the afternoon. The flock of sheep went a long way but one lamb fell behind. A wolf saw the lamb in this condition and silently followed it. The lamb saw the wolf. He said - I understand that you want to catch and eat me, but I have one condition. The wolf, hearing this from the lamb, started playing the flute and the lamb danced with it.
And hearing the sound of that music and dancing, a group of dogs came there. Seeing the wolf, they chased him. The wolf somehow escaped from the dogs while running.  Then, when he was far away, beyond the reach of the dogs, he sat down at a place and began to think, "I learned a lot, how like Buddha I came to hunt and went to play the flute."
