ভেড়ার পাল ও নেকেড়ে বাঘ

একদা এক মাঠে অনেকগুলি ভেড়া চরে বেড়াত । আর সেই ভেড়াদের পাহারা দিত কয়েকটা তেজী কুকুর । নেকড়েরা দূর থেকে দেখে কুকুরের ভয়ে আর তাদের কাছে আসতে সাহস পেত না। মনে মনে বড় ক্ষোভ তাদের । একদিন তারা নিজেদের মধ্যে বলাবলি করতে লাগল-এ কুকুর ক'টাই আমাদের শত্রু, কোনোরকমে ওদের সরাতে পারলেই ব্যাস, আমাদের কেল্লা ফতে। কিন্তু কি করে সরানো যায়? সব সময়েই যে তারা ভেড়াগুলোর কাছে কাছে থাকে! নেকড়েদের যখন এইরকম মনের অবস্থা তখন কয়েকটা ভেড়াকে একান্তে পেয়ে বলল-ভাইরা, তোমরা আমাদের থেকে অমন দূরে দূরে থাক কেন বল তোঃ আমরা তো তোমাদের সঙ্গে ভাব করতেই চাই! পারি না, কেবল এ শত্রু কুকুর ক'টার জন্যে। ওরা আমাদের দেখলেই ঘেউ ঘেউ করে তেড়ে আসে । আর তা শুনলেই আমাদের দারুণ রাগ হয়ে যায়। ওদের বিদায় করে দাও ভাইরা, তাহলেই দেখবে তোমাদের সঙ্গে আমাদের বন্ধুত্ব গড়ে উঠবে। ভেবে দেখো, কাদের সঙ্গে তোমাদের বন্ধুত্ব রাখা লাভের-ওরা আর কয়টি! ভাল করে দেখো, আমাদের দল কতো বড়। আমাদের অনুরোধ তোমাদের জাত ভাইদের কাছে গিয়ে ভাল করে বুঝিয়ে বলো- দেখবে, বললেই তারা বুঝবে। বোকা ভেড়াগুলো, নেকড়েদের কথায় ভূলে কুকুরগুলোকে বিদায় করে দিল। এবার! এবার নেকড়েদের রাস্তা পরিস্কার। নেকড়েরা ভেড়াগুলোকে এবার রক্ষকহীন অবস্থায় পেয়ে নিজেদের খুশিমত এক এক করে খেয়ে ফেলল।

উপদেশ - শত্রুর কথায় ভলে বন্ধুদের বিদায় করতে নেই 

Once upon a time, there were many sheep grazing in a field. And those sheep were guarded by some fierce dogs. When the wolves saw them from a distance, they did not dare to approach them for fear of the dogs. They were very angry. One day they started talking to themselves - these dogs are our enemies, if only we could get rid of them somehow, our fortress would be breached. But how can they be removed? They are always close to the sheep! When the wolves were in this state of mind, they found some sheep alone and said - brothers, why do you stay so far away from us? We want to talk to you! We cannot, only because of these enemy dogs. They bark at us as soon as they see us. And when we hear that, we get very angry. Send them away, brothers, and only then will we see that our friendship with you will develop. Think about who it is worth keeping your friendship with - how many of them are there! Look carefully, how big our group is.  Our request is that you go and explain it well to your fellow countrymen - you will see, if you tell them, they will understand. The foolish sheep, forgetting the words of the wolves, sent the dogs away. Now! Now the path is clear for the wolves. The wolves found the sheep defenseless and ate them one by one as they pleased.

Advice - Do not send your friends away because of the words of the enemy.
