ছাগল আর বাঘের গল্প

 এক যে ছিল বাঘ । বাঘটা খাদ্যের সন্ধানে ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছিল। ঘুরতে ঘুরতে দেখল একটা পাহাড়ের ওপরে এক উঁচু জায়গায় একটা ছাগল চরে বেড়াচ্ছে । বাঘের পক্ষে অতো উঁচুতে উঠে ছাগলটাকে ধরা সম্ভব ছিল না। বাঘ মনে মনে এক কৌশল অবলম্বন করল। বাঘটা নিচে থেকে মিষ্টি স্বরে বলল-ও ভাই ছাগল, তুমি অতো উঁচুতে উঠেছো কেন ভাই, যদি পড়ে যাও মারা পড়বে। তাছাড়া ওখানকার ঘাসও তো ভাল নয়, এই এখানে, মানে, যেখানে আমি দীড়িয়ে আছি এখানের ঘাসগুলো যেমন নরম আর তেমন মিষ্টি । আর এখানে তো পড়ে যাওয়ার ভয় নেই ভাই। তাই তোমার ভালর জন্যই বলছি, তুমি নিচে নেমে এসো । ছাগলটি সবিনয়ে বলল মাফ্‌ কর দাদা, আমি নিচে যেতে পারব না। আমার বুঝতে বাকি নেই আমার আহারের জন্যে নয়, তোমার নিজের আহারের জন্যেই আমায় নিচে নেমে আসতে বলছ।

উপদেশ - দুর্রৃত্তের কপট আচরণও ধরা পড়ে যায় সেয়ানার কাছে ।
