একতা

 এক যে ছিল চাষী। তার অনেকগুলি ছেলে ছিল। আর ছেলেরা সকল সময় নিজেদের মধ্যে ঝগড়া করত। এতে চাষীর মনে খুব দুঃখ হতো । চাষী এ ব্যাপারে ছেলেদের অনেক বোঝাতো এবং মাঝে মাঝে বকাঝকাও করত। কিন্তু কিছুতেই কিছু হল না। কোনো পরিবর্তন হল না ছেলেদের । এদিকে চাষী একদিন বৃদ্ধাবস্থায় উপস্থিত হল। চাষী তখন একদিন অনেক ভেবেচিন্তে ছেলেদেরকে বলল, তোরা যে কয়জন আছিস সবাই মিলে এক একটা কঞ্চি এনে তাই দিয়ে একটা আঁটি বেঁধে আন্‌ তো আমার কাছে।

বাবার কথায় ছেলেরা প্রত্যেকেই কঞ্চি যোগাড় করে তাই দিয়ে একটা আঁটি বেঁধে আন্লো।
এবার চাষীটি তার ছেলেদের বলল-এখন তোরা প্রত্যেকে এককভাবে এই আটিটা ভাঙতে চেষ্টা কর দেখি । কে পারিস আগে?
বাবার কথায় ছেলেরা একে একে সেই কঞ্চির আটিটা ভাঙতে চেষ্টা করল। কিন্তু কেউই আটি ভাঙতে পারল না।
বাবা এবার ছেলেদের বলল-এবার খুলে ফেলতো আটিটা। আর প্রত্যেকেই এক-একটি কঞ্চি হাতে নে।
বাবার কথায় এবার ছেলেরা আটি খুলে প্রত্যেকেই একটি করে কঞ্চি বার করে নিল।
চাষীটি এবার বলল-এখন নিজের নিজের হাতের কঞ্চিটা ভেঙে ফেলত ।
এই কথা শোনা মাত্রই ছেলেরা প্রত্যেকে নিজের নিজের হাতের কঞ্চি পটাপট করে ভেঙে ফেলল ।
চাষী এবার তার ছেলেদের উদ্দেশ্যে বলল-দেখলি তো! তোরা যদি এমন মিলে-মিশে একজোট হয়ে থাকিস তাহলে কোনো শক্রই তোদের কোনো ক্ষতি করতে পারবে না । আর যদি তোরা পরস্পর কেবলই ঝগড়া-বিবাদ করিস, আলাদা হয়ে থাকিস, একের বিপদে অন্য সবাই তাকে সাহায্য না করিস, তাহলে এবার বুঝতেই তো পারছিস্‌ কেমন করে শক্রর দল তোদের ঘায়েল করে দেবে!

উপদেশ - এক্যবন্ধাবস্থায় ক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধি পায় ।

There was a farmer. He had many sons. And the sons always quarreled among themselves. This made the farmer very sad. The farmer tried to explain this to the sons a lot and sometimes scolded them. But nothing happened. The sons did not change. Meanwhile, the farmer appeared one day in his old age. One day, the farmer thought for a long time and said to the sons, "All of you, bring a lock and tie a knot with it and bring it to me."

At the father's command, the sons each collected a lock and tied a knot with it and brought it to me.

Now the farmer said to his sons, "Now each of you try to break this knot individually. Who can do it first?"

At the father's command, the sons tried to break the lock of the lock one by one. But no one could break the knot.

Now the father said to the sons, "Now open the knot." And each of you take a lock in your hand.

 At the father's words, the sons opened the bag and each took out a knife.

The farmer said, "Now break the knife in your own hand."

As soon as the boys heard this, each of them broke the knife in his own hand.

The farmer said to his sons, "Look! If you are united like this, no enemy will be able to harm you. And if you only quarrel with each other, stay separate, and do not help one another in trouble, then you can understand how the enemy group will harm you!"
