এক দেশে ছিল এক ছোট রাজ্য। রাজ্যটি ছিল খুবই সুন্দর, কিন্তু সেখানে একসময় খরা দেখা দেয়। গাছপালা শুকিয়ে যায়, পুকুর-নদী শুকিয়ে যায়। রাজা বীরেন্দ্র ও রানী মায়ার খুব দুঃখ লাগল। তারা চাইলো কোনোভাবে রাজ্যটিকে রক্ষা করতে।
তাদের মেয়ে, রাজকুমারী রিনি, ছিল খুব বুদ্ধিমতী ও সাহসী। সে শুনেছিল এক জাদুকরী ফুলের কথা, যা ‘চিরসবুজ ফুল’ নামে পরিচিত। যদি সেই ফুল রাজ্যে আনা যায়, তবে রাজ্য আবার সবুজ হয়ে উঠবে।
এক রাতে, পরী রূপসা স্বপ্নে এসে রিনিকে বলল, “তুমি যদি সত্যিকারের সাহস দেখাও, আমি তোমায় সাহায্য করব।” রিনি সকালে উঠেই রওনা দিল পাহাড়ের ওপারে, যেখানে ফুলটি থাকে। পথে তাকে পার হতে হয় জাদুর জঙ্গল, যেখানে গাছেরা কথা বলে এবং ধাঁধা জিজ্ঞেস করে।
রিনি সব ধাঁধার উত্তর দেয় এবং সাহসিকতার জন্য জাদুর রত্ন পায়, যা তাকে ফুল পর্যন্ত পৌঁছাতে সাহায্য করে। সেখানে সে ফুলটি পায়, কিন্তু পাহারা দিচ্ছিল এক জাদু ড্রাগন। রিনি ড্রাগনকে ভয় না পেয়ে বলল, “আমি রাজ্য বাঁচাতে এসেছি, তোমার কিছু নষ্ট করব না।” ড্রাগন খুশি হয়ে ফুলটা তাকে দিয়ে দিল।
রিনি রাজ্যে ফিরে এলে, পরী রূপসা আবার এসে ফুলের জাদু ছড়িয়ে দেয়। রাজ্য আবার সবুজ হয়ে ওঠে। রাজা-রানী খুব খুশি হন, আর রিনিকে রাজ্যের রক্ষক হিসেবে সম্মান দেন।

In a country, there was a small kingdom. The kingdom was very beautiful, but one day there was a drought. The plants withered, the ponds and rivers dried up. King Birendra and Queen Maya felt very sad. They wanted to save the kingdom somehow.
Their daughter, Princess Rini, was very intelligent and brave. She had heard about a magical flower, which was known as the 'evergreen flower'. If that flower could be brought to the kingdom, the kingdom would become green again.
One night, the fairy Rupsha came to Rini in a dream and said, "If you show true courage, I will help you." Rini got up early in the morning and set off to the other side of the mountain, where the flower was. On the way, she had to cross a magical forest, where the trees talked and asked riddles.
Rini answered all the riddles and received a magic gem for her bravery, which helped her reach the flower. There he found the flower, but a magical dragon was guarding it. Rini was not afraid of the dragon and said, “I have come to save the kingdom, I will not harm you.” The dragon was happy and gave him the flower.
When Rini returned to the kingdom, the fairy Rupsha came again and spread the magic of the flower. The kingdom became green again. The king and queen were very happy and honored Rini as the protector of the kingdom.
